Two versions of audiobooks are now available to Jackson-Madison County Library cardholders.

Jackson-Madison County Library now offers downloadable audiobooks through Netlibrary. Downloadable Audiobooks are digital versions of the latest best sellers, award winning authors and book club favorites. The files may be downloaded and listened to on a computer or portable listening device. Access to Downloadable Audiobooks is available outside the library only. Library computers cannot be used to download audio files.
VISIT THE LIBRARY TO SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT.
Library patrons must use a computer within the library to access the NetLibrary site in order to create an account. Staff members will assist you as needed.
Follow the steps below to begin:
Connect to the Netlibrary Audiobooks Center link.
Click on the link in the upper right hand corner which says "Create a free account." Fill out the information requested to create an account with NetLibrary.
Once the patron account is created, downloading can be done from home. The patron never needs to re-enter the library for this service.
FROM YOUR HOME COMPUTER
Go to www.netlibrary.com and enter your username and password.
Use NetLibrary's Basic or Advanced Search, or browse the entire collection to select an audiobook to download.
When the download is complete, open the downloaded file with Windows Media Player (Version 9 or later). When you play the file for the first time, you will be re-connected to NetLibrary to acquire a license. Login with your NetLibrary account information. The license will download automatically. Each downloaded audiobook will require its own license.
Once a book has been downloaded to your computer, you may transfer it to a compatible portable device.

to announce a new digital library where cardholders can browse, check out, and
download eBooks and audio books. The new online collection is available
any time of day from anywhere in the world. R.E.A.D.S., Regional Ebook and
Audiobook Download System, is a free service from your library and the Tennessee
