Summer Surprises: Cooking Healthy

Join us here at the library as Barbara Jackson from the Madison County Extensions Office presents a series of six programs that will focus on eating healthy foods and good nutrition. Each session will contain new information and will be lots of fun, and some samples will be prepared for tasting during the series!  Try to attend each session, but if you miss a couple that will be okay!  (These will be held in the library’s program center.)

 

Emergency Preparedness

You never know when an emergency may happen and it is important to be prepared!  Come to the library as Wanda Stanfield of the Madison County Red Cross presents a series of five programs that will include disaster preparedness, bandage rolling, and basic first aid.  Each session will contain new information, and is sure to be a good time while we learn important skills.  Try to attend each session, but if you miss a couple that will be okay!  (These will be held in the library’s program center.)

 

Chocolate Trivia and Guess that Smashed Candy Game

Think you know everything there is to know about chocolate?  Are you a candy connoisseur?  Test your knowledge by coming to the library  and participating in our chocolate trivia and guess that smashed candy game.  It’s bound to be a “sweet” time!  (This event will be held in the library’s program center.)

 

Family Movie Program

What time is it?  It’s SUMMERTIME!  Join us as we watch the Disney hit from 2007 starring Zac Effron, Vanessa Hudgens, and the Wildcat gang!  Movie is rated G and is 120 minutes long.  Feel free to bring cushions to sit on to get comfy, and we’ll provide a snack!!   (This event is open to children and teens of all ages and will be held in the library’s program center.)
